Elves on Earth

Don’t let the title fool you, the theme is Elven, but all ‘kin are welcome to post their ‘snack’ ideas. Snacks in the form of actual food, or tidbits and ideas on how to get through life without feeling like the local freak.

To start it all out - I’ve two ‘snacks’ for you, food and relaxation.

Food - lately my metabolism has been going nowhere but up, and being vegan (most of the time at least) has not made it too easy. However, I have ‘created’ a fairly fun pancake and ‘frosting’ idea. It’s very calorie heavy, but not overly unhealthy.

.5 cups of flower of your choice (I use King Author whole wheat

add water until it hits the consistency you want (I think it’s about 3/4ths a cup, but I’ve never measured. I add water until it’s the consistency of pancake batter)

Fry on medium heat in a non-stick pan with a bit of oil on it until brown and firm on both sides. Yes the oil is important on the non-stick pan because otherwise your bread will have bubbles under it and won’t be as pretty. I’ve learned the hard way.

The frosting is a mixture of (to your taste) peanutbutter, baking cacco powder and sweetener (for semi-sweet chocolate/peanutbutter). I use stevia, but that’s because I like the stuff. Feel free to use whatever.

Snacks for our sanity -

One thing I do to help me relax with my identity, I read about ‘kin and ‘kin blogs online, or “The Customer is Not Always Right”. I know it sounds cheezy, but think about “Chicken soup for the Soul” books. It works on exactly the same thing, people going through similar problems (I worked at KFC for some time, so I know about NAR or not always right). When I can’t do that, I’ll admit I play games, especially RPs or simple puzzle games. It may sound silly, but it helps

Why did this not post right wth sorry
Yay I fixed it

I miss Theri There so much. I admit I’ve not checked it in some time though. I do sympathize with the one with diet restrictions. Mine are not that bad, but it can make eating out interesting.
